Eyes on Sudan
The UAE backed RSF since Tuesday is on a mass murder rampage killing civillians in the Sudan.
On Tuesday, journalists and human rights activists say that the atrocities in Sudan by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) “appear to be in a systematic and intentional process of ethnic cleansing of Fur, Zaghawa, and Berti Indigenous non-Arab communities through forced displacement and summary execution”. This included what appeared to be “door-to-door clearance operations” in the city, it said.” (https://www.theguardian.com/.../mass-killings-reported-el...)
This campaign includes the murder of men, women, and children, and there is evidence of women being sexually tortured and lynched.
The United States-backed United Arab Emirates (UAE) is funding the RSF with United Kingdom weapons for the mass killings, with promises for the UAE to extract raw materials, especially gold and other precious metals, and crops and lands, since the UAE is compirsed of mostly ex-pats and has only 1% farmland and is a landlocked country, from the prosperous Sudanese land.
The UAE is the world’s second-largest gold exporter, with the gold extracted from the Sudan, where the RSF controls several mines.
Ultimately, there is apathy when it comes to the Sudan that is rooted in racism. Rarely do the far leftists mention Sudan, but it is crucial to bring awareness to this genocide as much as any other presently taking place, or that has been taking place, such as the ethnic cleansing of Black and Native people in the United States.
Colonialism never ended and is still happening under cover, especially hidden in international corporations that steal land and extract resources.
Here is one way to help: you can check out the Mutual Aid Sudan Coalition (MASC), which provides direct, flexible funds that are securely transferred to volunteers providing life-saving services in their own communities.
If there are other or more effective ways to get resources to aid workers, please let me know.
